Any luck that you could give up the source? I'd love to use this in some live application--I had lots of fun standing against a dark background, wearing white, punching the air to make drum noises. It would make for a good installation as well--judging pitch and timbre based on who walks in front of the camera.

It is very nice, but what about doing it on real drums, no latency, while your computer is left aside rendering?

Anyway, it is very good to show that we can use our time to change the world.

Your work is interesting. Although you mention the application is mostly to spend time doing something else while waiting for rendering from other programs... I see it having unique potential for working with music therapy, children with special needs, and potentially live applications. Keep dreaming and creating! Thanks for your contributions to the digital generations.

Just wanted to ask if you could give out a short tutorial on how you made this patch. also it would be great if you could share it as an open max patch file because it would be a great tool for teaching my class (digital arts).
thanks, d

indeed the latency is an issue. i believe that it is because of the build-in camera frame rate. it was a school project and the concept i had was to make everything as simple as possible, so i used the my build-in iSight even though that it has some latency.

looks cool, but theres a noticeable amount of latency. its a good idea, but i would work on the latency issue first.

really cool!
I received your email, but I didn't installed it. You know ... Not enough time and skeptical about emails from strange haircut dudes!

Congratulation on the whole thing. I like the video as well and you persuade me and I'll have that kind of strange haircut too!
Cheers,
B5
